When did Senator Rand Paul become such an ass hole?

Right.

As soon as Trump and his three sons, Tucker the Huckster, Hannity* and DeSannity started trashing Fauci, the rest of Trump's cult followed suite.

You're either anti-mask, anti-vaccine or you're not, since you trashed Fauci, I suspect what side of the fence you're on.

Masks can’t be proven to be effective at stopping *bacterial transmission* in a clinical setting but I’ll not waste the bandwidth by showing you the study.

And your binary thinking is tiresome yet sadly typical on the left.

And why is he obsessed with framing Dr. Fauci? Is it because he wouldn't propagate Trump's lies about the Pandemic? Is he on Trump's shit list and Paul is acting like one of Trump's goons.

I used to like Rand because he was the closest thing to a libertarian in Congress, but he's gone Full-Rudy since he started kissing Trump's ring.

well when faucci is facing charges for lying to congress we will see who the asshole was

Paul has always been a pompous fool, which is why his neighbor kicked his ass.

Your reasoning is forced and contrived.
Not wearing a mask has from the beginning been a chippy sociopolitical decision, not a health one.

Conservative libertarians are by every reasonable standard morally deficient,
in part because they demand freedoms to which they're not entitled when not living in total solitude.
Such freedoms cannot and will not be granted among civilized people.

Freedoms are protected under the Constitution in a *functional* representative republic.

It’s not up to the government to ‘grant me freedoms’ that are already guaranteed under our founding documents. The government isn’t ‘free’ to force me to close my business and deprive me of my livelihood. That is tyranny and the masks are just a symbol of it.

This country is currently ‘less free’ than at any other time since it was founded.

Freedom from social responsibility is anarchy.
We clearly don't share many values, but the primary purpose of the Constitution was to formulate a new government format, not to define freedoms.
The Bill of Rights was a post ratification series of amendments,

Yes but Trump was the worst of any that took office and teabaggers (www.teaparty.org) love him.

President Xi of China, and I, are working together to give massive Chinese phone company, ZTE, a way to get back into business, fast. Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!

Trump did not mention in that tweet or its follow-ups that on Thursday, the developer of a theme park resort outside of Jakarta had signed a deal to receive as much as $500 million in Chinese government loans, as well as another $500 million from Chinese banks, according to Agence France-Presse. Trump’s family business, the Trump Organization, has a deal to license the Trump name to the resort, which includes a golf course and hotels.

Drop sanctions, get a $1 billion check.

Trump was the worst in my life time but the US has been through shitty Presidents before, major mistakes from Washington DC and similar errors to all nations of the world, past and present.

That said, handing over more power to Washington DC to expedite "solutions" is as big of a mistake as the millions of Americans panicking and screaming "Save us!" after 9/11 which is how We, the People instituted the Patriot Act.

Trump will be dead or incapacitated in 5-10 years, but the US will survive and our problems will still need viable solutions that are best for all Americans.

The Constitution puts limits on government authority which; in effect, allows for freedom. That’s the whole point of limiting government authority: it puts a check on tyranny.

Much of what went on in 2020 was manifestly unconstitutional. Some of it’s still going on. Even the ACLU had to arise out its stupor over the Biden administration’s efforts to have Big Tech censor *on their behalf*.

I think you and your friends & family should all skip the vaccines and masks.

I think you and your unvaccinated friends and family should act as though there is no virus (because it is a hoax after all, right?), and hang out with each other, hug each other, be around each other all the time. Don't wash your hands either. Just be the pigs you want to be. A hoax can't kill you after all, right?

Trump lol.

You’re showing hints of coming out of your TDS delirium. Good. Go all the way and recognize democrats efforts to use 1/6 as a pretext for a domestic version of the Patriot Act.

If they pull that off you may finally realize there are worse things than the Mean Tweeter.

That's one perspective. Just not mine. 600,000+ citizens died as it was. Should we have tried for a couple million or more?
You seek freedoms to which, in the minds of socially responsible people, you're not entitled.

I’ve been acting as if there’s no virus for over a year now lol. Apart from a debate topic I just don’t think about it much. Sorry/not sorry.

I may actually take the jab after I watch things play out a bit longer. I’m one of those individuals that knows what the word ‘experimental’ means so I’m taking my time. If I was high risk I would have taken it by now and *I strongly suggest* that anyone who is high risk, take it. Btw, that’s been my consistent position. I think it’s without question that the Trump vaccines have been a net win.

Unlike Harris and Biden, I’ve been behind them from day one.

Where I differ from the vaccine fanatics is I don’t pretend they are fully FDA approved. In fact, they are in Stage III clinical trial. Doubt that? What do you think the FDA is doing while they are waiting to give their *actual* Gold Seal of approval? They are looking at the data and especially, tracking adverse reactions. You had the jab? You are part of the experiment.

I think it’s both ethically and morally repugnant to force or coerce parents into jabbing their kids and children with an *experimental* vaccine when their risk of morbidity or mortality from the CCP bug is negligible. Besides that, it’s just plain ignorant. It’s fanatical.

In the meantime whether I'm vaccinated or not is nobody’s damned business but my own.

Where we differ is in thinking they government was capable of changing that number significantly. Assuming it’s even accurate but that’s another debate.

You also fail to recognize that the government’s efforts at controlling that number came at a *horrendous* social and economic cost. Including unnecessary deaths not related to the CCP bug. It could easily take a decade or longer to recover from it.

I know lots of people--seriously--who viewed the covid imposed time off as a good opportunity to rest and relax.

That doesn't seem like a horrendous social cost to me. It seems like something we might consider doing on a periodic basis.

Unfettered Calvinist work ethic is a debilitating disease in its own right.

How has that worked out for you? Not great. Trump lost the WH, the GOP lost Congress, the country lost 620,000 people.

Glad to see you don't think about that stuff that much.

So very happy that you and your dumb friends pretended like the virus is no big deal as your allies died all around you.

In fact, I bet you and Trump killed enough people to prevent the GOP from retaking the House and Senate next year.

I may actually take the jab after I watch things play out a bit longer.

Don't bother.

You've gone this long without it, so you might as well just skip it completely.

I’m one of those individuals that knows what the word ‘experimental’ means so I’m taking my time.

Bullshit semantics.

If the vaccine were dangerous at all, we would have known by now.

What's dangerous is not getting the vaccine....so I would encourage you to not get it because I think if you did get COVID, you'd probably die from it and then couldn't vote in next year's election.

How about instead of typing this stupid shit, you just put a gun to your brain and pulled the trigger? Because you'll reach the same result.

I think it’s both ethically and morally repugnant to force or coerce parents into jabbing their kids and children with an *experimental* vaccine when their risk of morbidity or mortality from the CCP bug is negligible.

It's not experimental if it's been administered over 300,000,000 times with no incidents.

You're just looking for an excuse to prolong the pandemic because you want to ultimately force the vaccine passport issue, which is an issue you think you can win on, but you really can't.

In the meantime whether I'm vaccinated or not is nobody’s damned business but my own.

Who told you that?

Thanks to you not getting the vaccine, we are probably going to have vaccine passports.

So you're going to end up being banned from public spaces ANYWAY...maybe that's what you want, though.

You also fail to recognize that the government’s efforts at controlling that number came at a *horrendous* social and economic cost.

Yeah, so you probably should have been honest about COVID from the beginning and didn't try to downplay it for five months.
