I remember telling my dad in April after I got my second shot that the only people who weren't wearing masks were people who weren't vaccinated. They're disgusting cows. They got us into this mess. They continue to make it worse with every day and action. They should be put under house arrest so that those of us who are civilized and have a brain can live our lives without being subjected to their filth.

I don't think it's going to take that long. There were 9,000 cases reported in Florida yesterday. It can't continue at this pace. We are heading for another disaster. This one completely avoidable except for ignorant selfish asshole Republicans.

As far as I know none of them had any major symptoms. None of them were hospitalized and none of them died. The way a vaccine works is it allows the body to respond to an infection quicker. The immune system is only triggered by an infection. That means vaccinated people are still infected. It's just that their immune response is quicker so they don't get as sick and they shed the virus for a shorter period of time.

Yeah. A vaccine is forced exposure to a weakened pathogen (rather than natural/environmental exposure to the "real deal"). Regardless of forced or natural exposure, the body's immune system will appropriately respond to the presence of the pathogen (very simplistically speaking, antigens mark cells and viruses for destruction and white blood cells then perform the destruction). A vaccine effectively trains the body to minimize the effects of infection.
