New details of Kavanaugh inquiry emerge

A group of Democratic senators are demanding more answers from the FBI after the agency revealed new details about the limited scope of its supplemental investigation into the background of then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

In a June 30 letter to Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., and Chris Coons, D-Del., made public Thursday, Jill Tyson of the FBI's congressional affairs office acknowledged the department only conducted 10 additional interviews during its supplemental investigation into Kavanaugh, despite receiving over 4,500 tips.

Lawyers for the Kavanaugh accuser who testified at his confirmation hearing, Christine Blasey Ford, said in a statement that the new FBI letter confirmed the agency's investigation was "a sham and a major institutional failure."

"Because the FBI and Trump's White House Counsel hid the ball on this, we do not know how many of those 4,500 tips were consequential how many of those tips supported Dr. Ford's testimony, or how many showed that Kavanaugh perjured himself during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee," said the attorneys, Debra S. Katz and Lisa J. Banks. "Our nation deserved better.'

We all knew the investigation into frat boy Brat "Pickled Liver" Kavanaugh was an absolute sham and undeniably shameful.

Well the FBI investigation did happen during the Trump admin.
And Trump admin is mentioned a few times in the article.
And discovery has happened after the fact.
People complain about the FBI then all of sudden they complain AGAIN about the FBI. Go figure.

So how is this "sham investigation" being brought up distract us from Biden being daft and demented?

Basically you are saying that any retarded investigations during the Trump admin were to distract us from Trump being daft and demented?

For the record, Kavanaugh definitely perjured himself. He claimed, "I have no connections there[Yale]. I got there by busting my tail." It is a proven fact that his grandfather(Everett Edward Kavanaugh) went to Yale, and that he applied as a legacy. That means that he specifically mentioned his grandfather going there on the application, and was told specifically that would help him get in. Looking at his academic records, it is doubtful he would have gotten in had he not been a legacy. He was quite proud of having been a legacy in his alumni blurbs, having mentioned it just a few months before his perjury.

There were many other lies he told. There is no way on earth he should be on the Supreme Court.

trump's white house was in charge, so the buck for the incomplete investigation stops with him, but not really. What will really happen is anyone who followed his orders and did an incomplete investigation will be in big trouble. They swore to Congress that there was a complete investigation. If that was a lie, that is perjury. It is important to know which FBI agents were willing to lie to Congress for the president. I would think you would support that too, given who the current President they would be lying for.
