It is remarkably selfish and unpatriotic of you anti-vaxers to continue to put a strain on our medical resources, to put our nurses and doctors at continuing risk, and to willingly provide your bodies as hosts for the ever-mutating corona virus.

I am pretty sure small pox was wiped out by universal vacination and inoculation - not by letting dirty unhygenic nitwits offer up their bodies as hosts to the pathogens.
 
There are close to 7 billion unvaccinated. Instead of blaming the entire world, ask yourself why you are so easy to herd.

people may or may have valid reasons for not getting vaxxed. Kids for example dont need it -and it IS still experimental with unknown long terms effects.
I'm talking risk/benefit. I'm sure you understand. Medical ethics means people get to make their own choice

I remember in the mid 50's when the polio vaccine came out , All Americans were relived, there was no contingent of moronic mouth breathers trying to denigrate it. Now with the internet any semi literate dung beetles are free to spread misinformation, any yahoo hillbilly now has a voice where just a few decades ago these toothless hillbillies went around shoeless an didn't have indoor plumbing

Covid-19 has thrown a monkey wrench into herd immunity. It is not working how we came to expect it to. So that means that no one fully "gets it" yet. The experts are trying to figure it out.

But what appears to happen is immunity fades quickly, and previous infections weaken the defenses for future infections. There may even be an anti-herd immunity in effect.

It is not a lie. It is a novel virus acted in novel ways. What we knew about the world was slightly off, and we are correcting it. It is the normal process in science. It is the type of thing I have dealt with my whole life.

With 20/20 hindsight, we should have realized nature would throw us some curve balls. We are pretty good at dealing with the standard diseases, so natural will attack us with tricky diseases.

One trick that we saw with HIV is asymptomatic spreading. The mechanism used for doing this by Covid-19 is totally different, but the failure it creates in our defenses is the same. Humans cannot rap their head around a disease that spreads without showing symptoms. It makes testing essential, right when the USA had just destroyed its testing infrastructure. It was a hard concept to understand, when we had trump who could not even understand easy concepts to understand.
