Who was talking about Obama as a potential candidate 3 years before the election???
After his speech at the '04 convention?
Basically everyone. But no one beyond that...

But you WERE the one that said Rush didn't even make a showing on that poll. He made the top showing, however small that showing might be.When the "top" of the poll gets 10%, and you grip on to that, well.... It is direct evidence of what I called it. Talking point idiocy. The poll clearly shows exactly what I said, we're in a rebuilding period, and IMO that is good. There is an eternity between now and the elections that will matter, we have time to select solid leadership that will promote what the majority of the party wants.
Please, halfway through the Primary even you said you didn't think he'd make it but you liked him. After his speech at the '04 convention?

I think Rush is spot on as usual. Why shouldn't we (the right) blame every bad thing that happens on Obama? No matter how ridiculous and absurd, let's just make some insane connection to Obama, and blame him for it! This seemed to work well for democrats blaming Bush, so why the fuck not?
Look at BAC's last post... they are still blaming a fucking HURRICANE on Bush!
Dismissive of chances does not a "potential candidate" make. How are yours? He said "potential candidate."
How are the reading lessons coming along?
Yeah, that makes him the "leader"See Damo?
Ha ha....

Foolishness. I am participating in what is happening in my party, and whether you want to pretend that Rush's 10% in a media poll means he "leads" the party, well, honestly it doesn't really matter, other than to point out spin. Or Palin's 2% means she leads... Please.
Changes come to even the R party, and a return to personal freedoms (responsibility) isn't far from reality. Dems "da" facts, even ones that are shown using the data on what was presented by those who repeat those same talking points.
Again, during the Primaries you yourself were dismissive of his chances. Regressive rewriting of memories notwithstanding... Ugh. Nothing looks more stupid than the insistence that a poll that shows 10% mentioned Rush's name makes him "the leader"....LOL!
That is weak, even for you. After 2004, many in the Democratic party were talking about Obama as a "potential candidate."
Please give up; you really look stupid....

I don't assume you to be a fool, but to suggest that all there is to big cities is drug dealers, hookers, and traffic seems to me to be a seriously foolish thought.
I enjoy the diversity of people and culture found in big cities and I would not want to raise children or spend my life bored to fucking death in Buttfuck.
I also enjoy watching the Clampetts come to town for vittels.

Come on Dix, no one blamed the hurricane on bush, just the clusterfuck response by the administration and good ole Brownie.I think Rush is spot on as usual. I'll note that you ignore the poll in question for favorability ratings.Nope, I'm not going to tell you about "10%" .. but rather 73%

Among Republicans, however, the balance of opinion about Palin is more positive than it is regarding Romney or other leading GOP figures, Newt Gingrich and Michael Steele. More than seven-in-ten Republicans (73%) express a favorable opinion of Palin while just 17% have an unfavorable opinion. Romney, Gingrich and especially Steele are less familiar figures – among the public overall and Republicans – than is Palin. While comparable percentages of Republicans rate Palin and the other Republicans unfavorably, far more view Palin favorably. And Palin continues to be overwhelmingly popular with key parts of the GOP base – white evangelical Republicans (84% favorable) and conservative Republicans (80% favorable).
Surely you're not going to suggest that it somehow unfair to use the opinions of REPUBLICANS to access who leads their party or who is in position to lead the party.
How about this ...
Among Republicans, it's a different story. The poll suggests that 66 percent of Republicans have a favorable view of Cheney, 64 percent give Powell a thumbs up, and 62 view Limbaugh in a favorable way.

Perhaps you guys can pin your hopes on the coward and traitor Powell .. but the favorability of Palin, Cheney, and Limbaugh within the ever-shrinking Republican Party is UNDENIABLE.
