It depends, Sybil. It'll be written in a Constitutional manner. Just like insurance companies can charge you extra for having too many unsafe driving tickets (even if no seatbelt), they will be able to charge higher prices for people who voluntarily violate medical plans, take risks not covered or otherwise increase their chances of collecting on the insurance. It's a business decision.

I did; I have both Moderna shots and carry a card. Not a big deal to pass a bill with an expiration date; something both sides can agree upon such as limiting it to two years or earlier if the CDC, WHO and others agree the crisis has passed.

It's only ironic if I supported the veracity of title. Regardless, I doubt Florida can take this much longer before backlash sets in.

Meh. I'm a firm believer that the truth comes out in the end because it always does. It's never as good or as bad as the politicians claimed. Usually it's a little bit better.

And they are continuing to rise. I posted this in another thread..... With the exception of one outlier county in the middle of the state (I suspect the data is bad), EVERY county in Florida had over 315 new cases per 100,000. In the panhandle, it's far worse, every county exceeds 500 cases per 100,000, and some counties are now exceeding 1,000 new cases per 100,000 population. It is a disaster, and the head of the state is making it worse. His actions are nothing short of grotesque.

Did you hear DeSantis say today there is a decline in ER and hospital admissions which will be reflected in 7-10 days?

Should be interesting to see if this comes to fruition. Usually he deals in facts.

He's on a sinking ship and he knows it. He needs to show leadership, not keep pushing political bullshit. Parents with dead children are not a good look for reelection.

How do you feel about his decision to withhold salaries of school officials who ignore his anti-mask mandate?

I don't believe a thing he says at this point. The numbers don't lie.

Methinks the Dems will hold a vigil if the Covid numbers start to decline. Their glee is nothing less than sick, and very telling.

But it's going to happen. At some point, the virus will have no where else to go.

Reporting something isn't 'glee'. I post the numbers here because I want people to wake up. Florida is a slow motion disaster. The numbers this week are way worse than they were last week. That gives me no pleasure as a person who lives here, and as a person who is one of those numbers, even after being vaccinated. DeSantis is making a cynical political ploy at the expense of the lives of Floridians. This thing is getting kids. There is no way they should be attending school anywhere in the state without masks.

Sinking ship? Wouldn't say that. Children are still a small number of the Covid afflicted. He is a great leader although I disagree with the no mask mandate for schools. Otherwise, he has been fantastic and made all the right calls. It's a crap shoot about this one at this point.
