Strawman! That's a mischaracterization. Much of the stimulus money spent came during the last days of the Bush administration and was approved with bipartisan (yes that means Republicans too) support.

I'll glady be the escrow agent and hold the money bet while you guys go round up the 100 million or so Americans who vote during an actual election and get them to vote today to settle your disagreement.

I disagree with you. Zogby has a better track record by far over Rasmussen.

then what the heck were you talking about? it wasn't a strawman, it was a direct response to your post that the money has already been spent...

No, I'm fully aware of what it is. You're calling the Stimulus money "Obama's Stimulus" is a strawman. Let's be clear and honest that this "stimulus money" is not just "Obama's Stimulus". That's a mischaracterization and thus a strawman.

There's a website that has a collection of all the major polling companies...their average usually goes against Rasmussen.

Absolutely, it cracks me up. We ran this topic into the ground on the WOT. Also, I remember how the righties abandoned Rasmussen for Gallup, when Gallup started to show lower levels of support for Obama. I think their allegiance goes to whichever pollster shows the worst numbers for Obama.
 
Since I do not follow pollsters and their methods that closely maybe someone can help me out. I've seen polls where they've surveyed say 1,000 Americans, 1,000 registered voters and 1,000 likely voters. I'm surmising that the same question asked to each of those three groups could have a different answer. Now I've heard of the big pollsters, Rasmussen, Gallup, Zogby, NYTimes/CBS, WSJ/NBC and there are probably a couple of others. Do they each survey the same group (meaning did they each only survey all Americans or only registered voters)? And if some survey only Americans and some survey only likely voters how are they differences accounted for when pollsters results are lined up next to each other? Thanks.

I like using the Realclearpolitics averaging of polls, it nailed every election that it followed so far.

If I knew how to do one of those middle finger salute icons it would be pointed your direction right now! I was real young when we left Ohio so while I like the Browns and felt the heartbreak of the the '80's I can't claim diehard status like many. So I offer the salute on behalf of my father who grew up a Browns fan.
