? for the left.was Hitler responsible for the mistakes his military made?

Quote me saying that the Holocaust was a mistake.

If you want to discuss the strategical viewpoint, then yes it was a mistake which cost Hitler his war.

It was no mistake. it was a deliberate plan. Hitler also understood that the people rally when they can find a common enemy for all to hate.

Which cost his war. Did he really think the extermination would not garner sympathy from countries?

Why for the Left?

Hitler personally misdirected much of it. Probably his most serious blunders were in the Russia campaign, where he made a series of them, and in holding back the Wehrmacht from responding to the D Day landings. But his overall conception of the war seems insane. Even if Germany prevailed in the initial fighting against the allies how was it going to indefinitely sustain its victories against all of Western Europe, Russia and the U.S.?

What Hitler was or was not responsible for is not a current event.

The Holocaust was a mistake made by the military

No it wasn't. I'm going to be charitable and assume you meant the following:

The systematic genocide of Jews in "death camps" was started by Reinhard Heydrich on the orders of Himmler (guess where he got it).
Heydrich was a Kriegsmarine officer in the 1920s until he was cashiered, and Himmler had been a junior army officer at the end of WWI.

Yes, that must be what you meant.

Your saying he screwed up and lost a war deliberately , yea right great reasoning . you will make a fine democrapper congressman

Agreed it was a mistake, not sure how it cost him the war...although I'll agree that it caused irreparable harm to the reputation of Hitler and the Third Reich.

Agreed. He should have waited until Britain was in the bag.

Megalomaniacs don't give a shit what others think. Hitler's plan was to slowly exterminate all non-Aryans and replace them with the Master Race.

Opening a two-front war was a fatal error.

If I remember correctly the mass deportations was the initial plan. Then for the rest they were used for cheap labor.

I don't think the executions were in their mind at the beginning. I could be wrong.

Certainly Hitler was scapegoating Jews, but he also hated any group not Aryan. He was more delusional than Trump but with a more compliant nation and military.

The executions were a natural outgrowth from a "storage problem" in need of a "final solution". There were 9 million Jews in Europe before WWII. Imprisoning, feeding and monitoring 9 million prisoners in addition to fighting a two front war wasn't working for them. The brutal math was to murder not only 6 million Jews but also 5 million mentally ill, homosexual, physically handicapped, Russians and anyone else the Nazis deemed unfit.

Mass killing of Jews by SS Einsatzgruppen started in Poland in 1940. It went up a gear after the invasion of "Jewish Bolshevik" Russia in June 1941.

At that time Nazi Germany had no active enemies except Britain, which was confined to a sideshow in North Africa.

To repeat: the Holocaust was not the work of the Wehrmacht. Few if any senior officers were Nazis. But they knew what was going on and made no move to oppose it.

Now that certainly was a mistake. The homosexuals and physically handicapped could have been very useful.

HEY! I just realized the irony. Alan Turing solved the Enigma problem. :rofl2:

Is there a point here?

I asked if Hitler was responsible for the mistakes his military made in other thread. Somehow those two retards thought I was saying that the Holocaust was a mistake because the military and officials made it and Hitler was not responsible for it.

The context of my question was about Biden being responsible for killing innocent people with a drone strike.
