TOPLINE - Former President Donald Trump on Monday blamed the “inept Afghan government” for releasing 5,000 Taliban prisoners last year, even though the Trump administration called for prisoner swaps in an agreement with the Taliban.

Trump lashed out against the former Afghan government and ex-president Ashraf Ghani for the prisoner releases in a statement issuedT Monday, at around the same time U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told the House Foreign Affairs Committee the 5,000 prisoners freed last year “almost certainly” included some known terrorists.

In reality, a commitment to release up to 5,000 Taliban prisoners and 1,000 prisoners from the U.S.-backed Afghan government’s side was included as a confidence-building move in a February 2020 peace agreement inked by the Trump administration and the Taliban in Doha.

...on how to surrender Afghanistan to the Taliban, starting with letting 5,000 Taliban fighters out of prison to help take Kabul

Under the Trump plan they would have gotten their asses kicked by Special Forces if they decided to get rowdy.

It was in the Trump plan that Biden trashed.

Nope. Try again.

The Admin was in conference taking questions today. It would have been a great chance for them to show the Trump master plan. For some reason, they did not and could not.

Poor analogy. Maybe your house is infested, but none of mine.

How is it a poor analogy? Explain.

You compare those terrorists to cockroaches and vermin all the time...now that I'm using that comparison in an analogy, suddenly you don't like it.

Gee, I wonder why.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that y'all have never prepared or planned for anything?
