You were more optimistic than I. I figured that they'd just find some other excuse. We lost our long-term TV meteorologist (and friend) yesterday. He was fired for refusing to get the vaccine as mandated by the station's parent company. He posted a huge long screed on his personal FB page about getting the ax, "freedom," "choice," and other bullshit. I was totally shocked. I had no idea he was a science-denying moron. So he sacrificed his career for a political b.s. thing. OTOH the station has been pushing all the long-time on-air personalities into retirement because ad revenues are way down due to the pandemic. There were only three of them left, and he was one of them. I think that he was on his way out anyways, after being there for 33 years -- and one of the highest paid employees. The other two who are left announced their upcoming retirements later this year.

No, you do not transmit the virus if you are vaxxed AND not currently infected. It's science, not magic, and no different than if you have a regular cold, influenza, or chickenpox. If you are not infected, you cannot spread. Period.

if you arent infected you dont transmit.. vaxx or no vaxx. Vaxxes dont stop infections either;
they interfere with viral replication to reduce the viral loading and (hopefully) avoid the cytokine storm

Wrong. They are ~90-94% effective at PREVENTING infection. Those unlucky few who get infected are far less likely to be hospitalized and/or die. They can, however, transmit the virus as long as they are actively infected.

those figures are wrong. there are too many cases and too many vaxxed
( I think the case count is 150K per day)

But I dont disagree the viral loading impediments help reduce transmission of a viable dose
The problem is thinking getting vaxxed saves you as the one getting vaxxed and me from your transmission

There are too many variables -im sure ive been exposed to delta.
i never showed any symptoms though. Others that are exposed are symptomatic and some die

I too am not familiar with the source ... however ... what about the story ??? What about folks getting fired because of a hojo mandate ??? We here at JPP have gone back and forth about the virtues or lack thereof of the jab, the effectiveness of the serum, the manufactures of same, the types of serum, and even which one is mo betta than the other.

Hospital folks are not idiots or mentally challenged. They have a difficult job which quite frankly I could/would/should do. But being forced to get jabbed or get fired ... a hojo mandate ... is over the top.

Since hojo's dims favor choice ... how about letting hospitals set up sections for the vax lemmings and letting the others use and unvaxxed section.

If hospitals are so good at holding down the spread of infection, the jabbed and masked staff could work both sections ... and hallelujah ... problem solved.

It’s a chronic shortage *that’s been exacerbated* by the unscientific mandate put out under Vladimir Biden. There just isn’t any compelling scientific justification for young nurses and other staff to be forced to take a prophylactic treatment for a disease that presents little to no threat to them.

It's not the threat to the "young nurses" that's the issue here, 61. It's the threat to the patients that they care for. Maybe 23-yo Jessica RN won't get that sick and/or die, but before she even knows she's infected, she's spreading it to Oliver Oldman, Gertrude Grandma, and Danny Diabetic -- who may or may not have been vaccinated themselves.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ACQUIRED IMMUNITY FOR COVID.

If there was, BigMoneyDolla would be dunking on everyone right now.

But he's not, because he's fucking dead from a second COVID infection.

It would be nice if the prophylactic treatment stopped that from happening.
