The Dems continue to kill innocewnt humans, just as readily as when the party was first conceived. Asses.
The Dems continue to kill innocewnt humans, just as readily as when the party was first conceived. Asses.
Really? What innocent humans? The millions of children who died in Republican wars? The thousands of innocent men Republicans have executed in their quest for bloodthirsty vengeance?
I wish the Vatican would speak out on this issue more, and local dioceses would single out politicians and make spectacles of them by refusing communion. Since living in the South I've garnered a huge respect for Southern Baptist preachers who don't hesitate to speak their mind.
The will of the people is expressed at the ballot box.
If we the people want church and state separated, it will happen.
If we the people want Hate Speech punished, it will happen.
I hope he tries to silence preachers- it will lead to a violent revolution. "We have no King but Jesus."well, that might end soon.."the Obama" administration is pushing hard on this hate crime bill just to silence people who speak out on stuff like that..and the Democrat robots who vote for them.......say nothing.
The Vatican is the voice of old, old, old Europe.
Why aren't the Republicans the party of death for believing in the death penalty? If the Catholic church is going to be partisan they should at least be consistent.
No person has ever died in an abortion, besides the botched abortion that were common before it became legal and in a few modern cases of malpractice. So what's their point? Abortion kills 0 people a year, the death penalty kills about 10,000 or so, and it's a completely preventable thing society does. It's a no brainer that the death penalty is infinitely worse.
Really? What innocent humans? The millions of children who died in Republican wars?
Because they have determined that it is worse to kill people who are definitely innocent, and they count up the numbers. Far more abortions take place each year than executions.
If you look at the numbers, it isn't even a close call in their view.
and if we the people decide that socialists need to be shot on sight, it will happen.
where did you hear that? Do you have a credible link?
that doesn't sound right at all.
The catholic church, to my understanding, doesn't oppose the death penalty because they bean-counted the number of innocent people that might be executed.
I'm pretty sure they oppose the execution of ALL prisoners, guilty or not. Because, as I recall, they view capital punishment as a form of vengance, and justice should not be based on revenge. That's my recollection anyway, I can't be positive of the exact church position. But I don't think bean-counting was a major factor to their position.
Where doesn't it sound right? The Catholic church also opposes abortion. The question was the groups that oppose abortion but support the death penalty, even though some people who are not guilty of the crimes would be executed, so what do you do?
Bring up a group that has nothing to do with the question, then pretend that the conversation is about that.
Your arguing skills suck, while your straw man skills exceed expectations. Congratulations, at least you get a passing grade in something.
Vatican official attacks U.S. Democrats as “party of death”
Vatican officials seldom single out political leaders who differ with the Church on issues like abortion rights or embryonic stem cell research. But now that the Vatican’s highest court is led by an American, the former St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke, we can expect things to get more explicit in Vatican City — at least when when it comes to U.S. politics.
Burke, who was named prefect of the Vatican’s Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signature in June, told the Italian Catholic newspaper Avvenire that the U.S. Democratic Party risked “transforming itself definitively into a party of death for its decisions on bioethical issues.” He then attacked two of the party’s most high profile Catholics — vice presidential candidate Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — for misrepresenting Church teaching on abortion.
He said Biden and Pelosi, “while presenting themselves as good Catholics, have presented Church doctrine on abortion in a false and tendentious way.”
Pelosi drew U.S. bishops’ scorn for saying in a television interview last month that the Church itself had long debated when human life begins. Biden is a practicing Catholic who also supports abortion rights and analysts have said he could help woo wavering Catholics into Obama’s fold. Both argue that they cannot impose their religious views on others.
Burke said pro-life Democrats were “rare” and that it saddened him that the party that helped “our immigrant parents and grandparents” prosper in America had changed so much over the years.
LOL
The Party Of Death, guess old Joe & Nancy won't be getting any invites to the Vatican.![]()
