The opposite is true. The definition of insurrection was met on 1-6. Those who deny that are the reds. They are weaseling on the definition so they do not have to face what they are backing. Trump wanted to seize the power he lost in a fair and honest election. Part of that plan was stopping the certification of electoral votes. He did not know it is ceremonial. Then he knows so little about the American govt . He also does not care about that. The notes the investigating committee received from Meadows show how sweeping and dangerous the plans were. He thought the National Guards' function was to protect the rioters. He was in on the planning that went on long before the rally. You cannot deny it. Trump staged an insurrection.
