The OP's quote said "get", the reply said "get". The word means not only becoming sick but carrying the virus so as to be able to spread it. Cloth masks, the better ones, are still as recommended as before.

Your first criticism bold faces and puts in oversize type the same two words, "cloth masks" from both posts. How exactly does that "help" out" me or anyone else?

You naturally overlook the main point - his calling a "lie" what, in fact, is an understanding and acknowledgment of how the virus has changed, most lately from Delta to the more contagious but less serious Omicron.

Everyone who knows the basics about vaccines, especially annual flu vaccines, knows they aren't 100%. They're like biological body armor which offer protection, but not a guarantee. Flu vaccine or not, if a person contracts the flu, then they become a source of contagion. That's just High School science.

I wonder why so many of the RWNJs on JPP don't know High School science. Thoughts?

The minds of Trumpers evidently are too dull to see a difference between comparative and absolute statements, such as the difference between saying vaccines will reduce the spread of the virus and vaccines will stop altogether the spread of the virus. This thread was premised on that dullness.

In a way we probably both get it right. He envisions hope, fun, happiness, as I like liberals typically do though not blindly. It will be a grim, suspicious and very possibly paranoid future he sees if he follows a Right wing path.

You are correct that masks are completely ineffective against a virus, and that this stuff is easy to find on Google and other search engines.
