The death sentence solves nothing.
And actually costs taxpayers more money than life in prison.
How does a criminal 'suffer' if he is killed?
His suffering ends the second he dies.
And if you believe in God (which I don't. But a LOT of death penalty lovers seem to...for some odd reason)?
All he has to do is sincerely ask God for forgiveness (after taking him as his personal savior) on his deathbed?
And he goes to Heaven...guaranteed.
Oh yeah...that'll teach him.
That is justice.
NOT!!!
Obviously, you have never been to prison.
I have.
It's hell.
At least it was for me.
I would far rather die quickly than live for 30+ years in prison with NO chance of ever getting out.
Is that what the criminal justice system is for? To make sure convicts "suffer"? And all this time, I thought it was to keep the law abiding public safe, rehabilitate criminals, and act as a deterrent to law breaking. Now I see the light. Thanks for helping me understand, Mr. Halfwit.
Should I even bother to point out that your "god" example only refers to Christianity? Were you aware that there are actually a number of other religions with beliefs that are different from Christianity?
