How governments simply helping the old/weak (whom were most vulnerable to Covid-19) to quarantine (if they wished)...until a vaccine is developed.

And leave those with virtually no chance of dying of Covid-19 - to simply live their lives as normal.
With the latter reaching natural, herd immunity while the rest quarantine?

Please tell us how that tactic would have failed?

A lot of the people who are dying did not believe they were in danger, and natural herd immunity does not appear to be reachable. Many countries like Brazil accidentally followed your strategy, and it failed. People are just getting it over and over again, each time it does more damage to their health.

One of the things that the alt right "experts" seem to forget is not dying immediately does not mean there is zero effect. A large number of people get Long Covid, which does serious damage to their health. The damage appears to be cumulative. So that strategy would lead to tens of millions of Americans having their lives cut shorter, but not ended immediately.

You seem to forget that America is not the only country in the world that Covid-19 happened to. We can see all the effects to all the different strategies. Brazil is not the model we want to follow.

Brazil did NOT follow what the experts I linked to suggested.
They did not encourage/financially support, weaker/older people to stay isolated for as long as they needed to.
They basically just did a half-ass version of what most countries did.

How can Covid-19 deaths go through the roof if practically all of the people whom die of it - the old and/or those with comorbidities - are quarantined (as the experts in my above links suggested) until vaccines and/or natural herd immunity is reached?

And where is your links to unbiased, factual evidence that they are untrue?

And the reason I post them is to inform people how erroneous and harmful the lockdowns/forced vaccinations/other government controls have been and continue to be.
