Teabagger that was "beaten" now whining that he has no health insurance

Quotes by Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, Health Czar of the Obama Administration:
“Medical care should not be given to those who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia.”

“Unlike (health care) allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not discrimination.”

“Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or the effects on others.”

Like other groups criticizing health care reform, the conservative Club for Growth is using the August recess to try to stop the congressional effort to create a government-run health insurance option.

Part of the Club's strategy will include a $1.2 million ad campaign aimed at Democrats who may be wavering about the plan.

In the ad, a man weeps over someone lying in a hospital bed while the announcer says, "$22,750. In England, government health officials decided that's how much six months of life is worth. Under their socialized system if a medical treatment costs more, you're out of luck. That's wrong for America."

That footage is interspersed with shots of the Capitol building and the whole thing is set to some very ominous music. You can watch it here.

The carefully worded ad doesn't directly say that the government is planning to put a price on our lives, but the implication is clear: The reform plan will lead to callous decisions that would allow people to die if they face a costly treatment. So that's what we're going to check — whether the reform plan would impose those kind of caps on treatment.

At its heart, the Club for Growth's ad criticizes a medical approach known as comparative effectiveness research, which aims to find the most effective treatments for the lowest cost.

Oh yeah, that politifact, factcheck, mediamatters, all run by Democrat backers...they are sure to be Reliable for information..

You need to decide which version you want to go with and stick with it. LOL

President Barack Obama filled out his health-care overhaul team Monday by naming Nancy-Ann DeParle, a veteran of the Clinton administration, as the White House health czar.

DeParle will join Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, the nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, as key figures in Obama’s push to pass a comprehensive health care reform bill within a year

I don't care who turned you on to what, no one here is using Limbaugh, Beck or Hannity as a source to use a some sort of truth meter..

Nobody's laughing that he was hurt, if, indeed, he really was hurt.

One of the posters here was slamming another who talked about not having health care while going to school full-time, holding down two jobs, and dealing with a medical condition. I'm sure if she decided to beg the public for handouts, conservatives would be all over her for that.

yes they were laughing at it....hence why they laughed at irony :pke:

i don't care what you think conservatives would do, my point about conservatives stands....my understanding is that conservatives give more to charity than liberals...conservatives do help out others, on their own, they just don't like the government forcing it upon anyone....learn the difference

What does this have to do with Emanuel?

Laughing at irony wasn't laughing at injury. Learn the difference.

This isn't about giving to charity. It's about conservatives constantly talking about personal responsibility and nobody owes anybody anything, yet Gladney's asking for handouts to cover his expenses. So much for his own personal responsibility.

BS

What does this have to do with Emanuel?

First of all, Emanuel isn't the "health czar". That would be Nancy-Ann DeParle.

Second, Emanuel's quote (no doubt out of context) came from something he wrote 13 years ago for the Hastings Center and has nothing to do with Obama's plan.

Third, you used in your signature a BS line about putting a $22,000 cap on services and this article shows that was false.

and where does the irony stem from......the injury :pke:

this is funny....you're basically arguing that liberals don't want people to have personal responsibility....the guy JUST lost his job and had an unforeseen injury...shit happens....and no where does it say nobody owes anyone anything....that is pure meadowmuffins....it is about the government taking your money and telling you that they know better....as i've stated, i believe it has been shown that conservatives give far more to charity than liberals....it is the height of stupidity to claim conservatives do not help those who need it

it was very evident in what the lefties were doing to Mr. Gladney and it was some vicious stuff..

just look at the title of the tread for starters..

Teabagger that was "beaten" now whining he has no health insurance..

Man, you are in denial.

What the hell are you talking about in your third paragraph?

From your link: "DeParle brings a long resume of health care experience, and a reputation as a no-nonsense businesswoman and lawyer. " Who's the highest ranking physician adviser?

Yeah, pretty sick, isn't it? I'm going to see if I can help this guy.

and compares to the real thing about as well as instant coffee.....

Awww, reality a bit too much for you bunky? A moronic neocon astro turfer screaming bloody murder about Obama's health care plan being the end of the earth CAN'T GET DECENT COVERAGE UNDER THE PRESENT SYSTEM, and has to ask for handouts (gee, aren't neocons supposed to be allergic to any form of welfare?). The Irony is so heavy its unreal...Yep, karma is a bitch sometimes.

>....Instant karmas gonna get you
Gonna knock you off your feet
Better recognize your brothers
Evryone you meet
Why in the world are we here
Surely not to live in pain and fear
Why on earth are you there
When youre everywhere
Come and get your share....<

It's just another level of neocon denial and diversion from the sheer irony of the situation. The mere FACT that one of their advocates is SCREWED under the present system takes the wind out of their anti-Obama healthcare plan sails....and they don't like it!

And as I said before, just what in the hell are the conservatives conserving anyway? Because in the last 8 years it sure as hell hasn't been my job, your money or Smokey the Bear's backyard!
