wishing death on obama will get you detained

Outside one meeting hosted by Sen. Ben Cardin, a Maryland Democrat, authorities detained a man with a sign reading, "Death To Obama, Death To Michelle And Her Two Stupid Kids."

why is it ok for waterdeath to say this about someone, but not ok for someone to say this about the president and his family....

i think both are repulsive, but some here support waterdeath and winterdeath

There are different rules for talking about the president and about everyone else.

If I threaten to kill you on here, you might be able to get me prosecuted and you might not. But ask KingRaw what happens if you threaten to kill the president. lol

I can't find any article that lists the man's name or says that he was arrested. The Secret Service can detain people (if I am not mistaken) if they feel they are a threat. It is not an arrest, and the person will be released.

If he was arrested there will be a public record. Is there any record of an arrest?

so our president can't be talked about like any other person? really....

and i don't know if he was arrested or not...the fact that he was detained is enough....

apparently YOUR and waterkill's only justification is that you can't talk about the president that way, but you can talk about anyone else that way.....very weak justification

I didn't say that it was right. You just asked why this man was detained and WM and I were not.

The reason is that we did not threaten the woman. The sign the man was carrying was apparently enough to have him detained.

If you would like to report me, I will accept whatever detention comes from my posting that the woman should be put down. I am not ashamed of what I said.

It is true that any threat made on the President, even in jest, can and has resulted in investigations. I would not test this theory.

actually i did not mention "detain"....you did...i asked in the OP why is it ok for you and water and not this guy....

apparently the sole reason is because the recipient of death wish is the president....if that is all the justification you have for your death wish, i think it is weak and really misses the point....
 
Why don't you go report Watermark to the secret service and see if they give you the finger and tell you to change your tampon.

Considering how often people have been wished dead on this forum, I am surprised at your continued response.


The reason I agreed that the woman should be put down (I won't even go into the fact that I was not seriously wishing her dead) was her actions at the event.

I didn't justify it because she isn't the president. I justified it because she was disgusting in her remarks to the jewish man speaking.
 
that settles it....you can wish death on someone who is not the president and if you voice opposition to those who wish death on those who are not the president you need to change your tampon.....

i'm totally convinced now that calling for someone's execution/death is totally cool.....i'll go change my tampon now so ib1tamponit can have the old one
