I am all for the gun laws that exist now as they apply to criminals...which allows no convicetd felon to own a weapon. But you know that all that registration we have to do really curtails criminals owning guns.

If the laws are not being enforced, that is the fault of the officials who oversee it. Not us "gun-toting bubbas".

TX has no open carry handgun laws due to the state constitution, not the 2nd Amendment. That will take a couple of years to rectify, but it's coming down the pipe.
