Obama raised his deficit projection another $2 trillion dollars today. Please tell me how a pill bill signed in 2003 or 2004 is going to cause Obama to raise his deficit projections six years later? The pill costs have already been included in ongoing projections. The Iraq War? Obama is coming close to ending it. He's removing troops. That would be lowering costs not raising them. And Bush's tax cuts will expire according to Obama which supposedly will bring in more money. How will that add to the deficit?

You used to try and call Damo out and say the closet door is opening. Look in the mirror my friend. You claim you have no hero's and you don't worship Obama. Congratulations. But you defend him like the partisan hacks you attempt to mock.

If we have to raise taxes, but we eliminate health insurance premiums and we pay less in general for healthcare, that's good for the economy.

But Obama promised not to raise taxes on people making less than 250k, and obviously we can't just do the equivalent of taking away everyone's health premiums and give them to only the people making over 250k. Which is probably why he has this complicated scheme in play - they just pay their taxes to insurance companies instead of to the government, and they only raise taxes to subsidize the people who can't afford it.

Where was all this budgetary angst from the right when Bushco was lying about WMD and spending us into the biggest deficit in history?
 
Well, actually on Fp.com, that argument took place before I created this board.

Anyway, it is the most consistent criticism you will hear from the right about Bush, he spent like a drunken democrat.
 
Unlike a drunken Democrat, he lowered taxes for the rich. There's the rub!

Also one of the issues you will hear from many on the right. You do not lower taxes and increase spending, you lower both if you are conservative.

Again, Bush's fiscal idiocy is the most consistent complaint you will hear from those on the right about Bush. There's plenty more to complain about, but it is the one that you will hear from almost all of them. It's been around since the Pill Bill and it has never ended.
