How is a Socialism?

Various members of this board have called Disney’s “special treatment” Socialism. Disney provides a town fire department, and pays for it. Its own building code, and inspections, and recordkeeping. Disney builds its own roads, and infrastructure. Sewage electricity etc. that sounds more like Capitalism to me?

DeSantis is replacing the capitalist system Disney was able to create for itself with government paid for by your taxes, because he wants to punish Disney for disagreeing with him. Socialist!

disney's deal was laissez-faire capitalism, proven wrong in the muckracking era/ guilded age, where poor worker conditions and unsafe factories and tainted food necessitated more rules.

corporations really are not morally perfect as libertarians like to pretend.

the idea that regulations are not needed because "when people learn a corporation has fucked up they will stop buying it's product" ...."markets police themselves.." is wrong because corporations are able to buy the news and squash negative stories.
and they do.

Me thinks you do not know shit about the Disney arrangement or its details. They are a major, probably the biggest, tourism draw in Florida and they are good for the state.
 
When corporations start advocating for grooming in schools, they're not a good steward of the public trust anymore.

They should have started cancer hospitals instead of pushing filth in public schools.

Like any person they are able to offer an opinion. They haven't broken any laws, haven't refused to pay taxes. It just that they happen to been a state whose governor is planning to run for president. Disney is the most, lets say that again, the most important contributor to Floridas economy. Piss them off at your peril.
By the way, what ever happened to free speech?
 
Governor DeSantis wants to impose Socialism on Disney because they dared to disagree with him. That’s fascism.

Needs to stay in the news. He's campaigning for reelection in November.

Disney had an almost pure capitalist system, instead of expanding that idea, he’s taking it away.

Because they opposes him.

DeSantis is not making Florida the free state!

Socialism is just a punch line used by MAGA fat asses who are generally over the age of 55 with latent memories of the Cold War lingering in their simian consciousness.

MAGA fat asses cannot even decide what socialism is. They will squeal like stuck pigs if you call the social welfare state of Norway socialist, but five minutes later they will be calling Obamacare and Disney Corporation socialist.
