Twitter reportedly nearing deal to sell itself to Elon Musk

White supremacists and neo-nazi's all wail "free speech" whenever their heinous propaganda is removed from any public forum.

Someone should educate these idiots on a simple fact .... protected free speech does not protect one from the consequences of that speech. That's why you have LAWS regarding slander, inciting to riot, threats with intent to harm, etc..

But then again, the aforementioned cretins have no problem with this so long as its "the other guy" being corrected.

none of the retarded shit above has anything to do with banning stuff like the babylon bee, or Hunters laptop.

Man, is it refreshing to see the occasional logical thought on this board.

Yes, but if they took the options when prices were lower and now they get to pocket this premium, they'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

To some extent, the reaction will vary from person to person depending on his or her view of the true value of the business. For a true believer, this will seem to lock in a low price on a company that is really worth more like $70/share. For someone disillusioned, though, this will look like an egomaniacal oligarch just overpaid for a bucket of shit as a kind of vanity purchase, and they'll be breathing a sigh of relief for having offloaded their shares to the bigger fool.

For my part, I didn't have strong feelings about it either way, which is why I neither went out and bought shares nor shorted them.
Employee tend to get stock options every year. So for them some of their shares are worthless and others may make money. But their actions of trying to avoid being purchased tells how they really feel.

Done deal, according to the evening news....SWEET.

Just think, if he'd done this sooner, we would have all known that the Hunter Biden laptop WAS NOT "RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION"...BEFORE THE ELECTION.

Shouldn't all those who lied about it be banned from Twitter , for "spreading disinformation"? ???

You are aware that Twitter is a private company, what they decide to do is their right

You people are just pissed cause they shut down Trump, plain and simple, got nothing to do with censorship or controlling information, Alex Jones and others have been doing exact same thing for years, but that never raised the right’s anger

Horse shit. it is publicly held, twit.

Until Musk buys it, then it goes private...unless he wants to sell shares.

It can be hard to let the dream of paper gains go. But for others, who had options granted at other points, this locks in a real gain, while staving off the risk the stock will decline, as the tech sector appears poised to do.

Being in POWER over peoples' information is what they'll miss the most, and is the real reason why they are they.

They DID NOT WANT TO SELL, REMEMBER? SEC REGS, ETC., FORCED THEM TO.

Well, it's over! Musk owns Twitter. It's interesting to see the same 'tards on the Left screaming about how awful this turn of events is while bitching about how Disney got smacked down for doing in essence the same thing Musk is doing...

You sure? They banned any mention of Hunter's laptop?

Twitter is now allowing users to share that controversial New York Post story

Twitter has taken another step back from its initial decision to block users from sharing links to or images of a New York Post story reporting on emails and other data supposedly originating on a laptop belonging to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.

The story, which alleged that Hunter Biden had set up a meeting between a Ukrainian energy firm and his father back when Biden was vice president, looked shaky from the start, and more holes have emerged over time. Both Facebook and Twitter took action to slow its spread — but Twitter seemed to take the more aggressive stance, not just limiting reach but actually blocking links.

Elon Musk: twitter no problem

Watching the unhinged malcontent lefties screech over the fact all voices might get a listen is comical and so exposes their typical hypocrisy.
Probably best if they cancel their current Twitter accounts and STFU.

Expect to see a lot of them leaving, and maybe doing sabotage before the do because the WOKE believe that the ends always justify the means, and they are ruthless thugs.
