I am thinking about it, and Fredo was a globalist. He wanted to move the gambling, and whoring jobs to Cuba, rather than having them stay in America. Michael Corleone was a non-localist, in that he wanted to move the gambling, and whoring jobs to Las Vegas. Their father, Vito Corleone, was a localist. He wanted to keep the gambling, and whoring in his old neighborhood in New York.
Historically, gambling has been seen as dangerous to businesses. Even when made legal, it would be made legal in one location, far away. Often it was not legal for locals to gamble at that location. So a business owner from Cleveland would travel to Las Vegas, spend a limited amount of time gambling there, and go home having lost some money.
These days, gambling is becoming legal all over the place. This is a form of localism that historically would not have been seen as a good idea. So far, the disaster that they said would happen has not, but we will see.

So, it really provides some context around her decision to leave. She was in a tough, thankless job and had already stuck it out longer than anyone had managed to do for decades.

I think the fairer criticism of her is that she was a weak fund-raiser and allowed the Obama people run roughshod over her, resulting in the DNC being deeply in debt in 2015. That's why they ended up with their hand out, asking the Hillary Victory Fund and the campaign itself to bail out the party. That was a really weak position to be in. Once Clinton was effectively bankrolling the party's activities, by way of her fundraising, the party wasn't on strong footing to insist on unfettered discretion about where that money goes. It would have been the same if the Sanders fundraising machine had been the one to ride in and rescue the party's finances. It's hard to insist on independence when you're financially dependent.

I dislike a lot of Hillary Clinton's policy positions, but I have to admit she's almost certainly an unusually non-corrupt politician, just given the incredible scrutiny she has withstood for literally 30 years without anyone finding anything significant against her. That's why the right is stuck vaguely talking about criminality and corruption, rather than being able to point to any actual criminal or corrupt act.
As for the FBI, that was a real study in corruption. Comey acted not as an impartial law enforcer, but instead a party activist, using his office to witch-hunt for wrongdoing by Clinton. And, even when he had to grudgingly admit he couldn't find any crimes, he STILL used that office to smear her, personally (e.g., labeling her "careless" which is a legally meaningless statement). And when that failed to sway the polls enough, he jumped back in, right before the election, and implied (wrongly) that a laptop the FBI had in its possession might have evidence of criminal conduct by Clinton (it didn't). In doing so, he swung the polls more than enough to account for the Trump victory. His corruption changed the outcome of the election.

define some terms. the big one is selling out to China over entry into their markets (which they tariff and also have regs like forced sharing of IProperty for joint ventures.) and then use SCO to restrict access anyway

Then there are the nasty things like Chinese espionage, Confucius Universitys, and the big one is paying off family members ( like the Bidens) for influence to positions of power
