A bigger issue is the fact this kid was known to be a threat but nothing was done until he committed mass murder.

The news has talking heads regurgitating the "45,000 gun violence deaths" while forgetting to mention that almost 2/3s of those deaths are single-shot suicides. They obviously don't give a shit about the suicides that don't use a firearm.

If more guns would make us safer we would be the safest country on the face of the earth but we aren't. We have mass shootings practically every week.
I hope the republicans in Texas who passed their asinine "constitutional carry" law are proud of themselves. Shootings such as the one today could not happen in a better state.
