Step 2. The money. Outlaw campaign contributions from any gun manufacturer or lobbyist and make it illegal to advertise arms or ammo anywhere.

Step 3. No guns or ammo until 21.

So: If there's no money for politicians to worry about from the NRA or whoever.. then politicians can't be held hostage by the lobby. Secondly, there will be fewer guns in circulation.. you can keep yours, but now kids won't be tempted by those ads of sexy women hoisting big guns and stuff.

So.. that's my proposal. Would you please send it to Joe? He likes you better than me because he says your hair smells better.

Lurch here is an honest question for you that I want you to answer honestly for me. If it is the guns why didn't we have mass school shootings in the 60s and 70s when I was in school. There were plenty of guns . We brought them to school in gun racks in trucks and in trunks of cars. If its the guns why didn't the guns do mass school shootings then? Guns haven't changed.

Well the problem with that is the Liberals would not be satisfied with just ARs. They would want all semi autos . Then all revolvers. Then all single shots. And without an organized group advocating for our rights they might succeed. Personally as I age I increasingly like like the ability to defend myself with a weapon of my choice. Here is a little fact . My brothers and I have a family farm in East Texas near Milam. One of the way we pay the bills on the farm is to raise watermelons. We have had VERY bad damage from large herds of roaming feral hogs. These herds can easily number more than a hundred hogs . They can destroy an entire crop is a short period of time. So a few times a year we bait a field and setup with night vision scopes and ARs and shoot as many as quickly as we can before they scatter. We leave several of the larger ones laying in the field because pigs are smart and have a great sense of smell and won't return for awhile. During that time we can usually get our crop of melons in. The smaller pigs we give to needy families for food. The county agent has a program to help git rid of feral hogs . You cut the snouts off and give them to him and you are entered into a raffle. We won two different months last year. Anyway the AR is perfectly suited for reducing these large herds. We aren't alone I know several people that do the same thing.

Revolvers and Colt 45's do not have high capacity ammunition clips, and less accurate at range than assault rifles. They cannot be fired as rapidly as an AR.

High capacity ammunition clips combined with a semi-automatic rifle are intended to kill as many humans as possible, in as short a time as possible. High capacity ammo clips come straight from military doctrine. They are not designed to hunt deer, pheasant, or duck.

Yeah, we had feral hogs stray dogs, you name it at the two resorts I managed near San Antonio. It was on CPS Energy land so we were not allowed to shoot them. We had work with Animal Control Services which were hit and miss to get ahold of.

Rifles are more accurate than pistols, and semi automatic ARs have a much high rate of fire than revolvers and shotguns.

High capacity ammo clips were an innovation for battlefield use by the military.

There is no legitimate need for you to be locked and loaded with a 30 round clip.


Easy solution: ban high capacity clips for both semi automatic rifles and pistols.

I didn't ask about the 357 I said why not carry a couple. BTW I have one. I don't shoot it a lot because its recoil is uncomfortable. When I do shoot it I generally just shoot 38 rounds in it. How much speed and accuracy do you need in a classroom?
