Id like it to be known that I am open to a national healthcare but under 1 condition.

I receive the same health care and same plan that congress gets. No exceptions.

Otherwise dont waste my time with your nonsense snake oil plans.

paying the bills makes it government run?.....if the government buys jet fuel for its airplanes does that mean it runs refineries?......if it buys furniture for the Senate's offices does that mean it runs the office furniture industry?......if they buy Chevys does that mean they run General M.....never mind...

Listen up dude....federal employees don't "pay the premiums". That's a mischaracterization. They pay a small fraction of the premiums and the government picks up the lions share. Do you even have a job, and know how government or employer-provided health care works?

And the evil, socialist government uses its size and scale to negotiate favorable rates for its employees.

this is what you're in favor of? There's not one single republican politician in congress who would support this, so why do you vote republican?

I agree with you, one thing the government does well is pay bills.

so why not just pay the doctors directly? Why not cut out the middleman - the insurance company? What's the point? They don't actually provide healthcare, doctors do. Why would you want to pay a middleman, which obviously drives up cost, and why not just directly pay the private doctor or hospital directly?

You appear to not have a problem with government paying bills. So why not have a universal medicare system where we pay the private doctors directly? What's the point of paying a middleman who doesn't actually provide healthcare?

perhaps because the government is still a middle man?.....why not a system where the patient pays the doctors directly.....what's the point of paying the government when it doesn't actually provide health care.....
