Did anyone see the campaign contributions that have been made by healthcare industries to Joe Wilson's campaign in the past?

Lotta contributions from companies that don't like Obama's healthcare proposals.

But I am sure his outburst was an emotional one based on his concern for his constituents. :rolleyes:

Wilson Outburst Provoked by Family Military Stress?

Rep. Joe Wilson's "Lie! You lie!" outburst* during President Obama's healthcare address was uncharacteristic of the four-term South Carolina Republican, observers say.

But Wilson, a colonel in the state's national guard himself, has four sons in the military services, two of whom have served in Iraq.

One is a senior at Clemson, enrolled in the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) and training with the South Carolina Guard, Wilson spokesman Ryan Murphy told me, in response to a query.

Presumably, he could soon face duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Seriously, who wouldn't get stressed out about having a son/daugher sent into harm's way, for a war he helped lie the nation into? Can you imagine the burden on his conscience if his son dies in a war Joe lied us into?

Make sure the whole world knows that the ideas of the left cannot withstand one guy shouting, make sure everybody knows that you have to protect the President from some guy saying "You Lie"... It will really advance your ideas awesomely.

There is a reason his support is dropping off, and it isn't because condescension is working for you.

Rep. Wilson, a former page of Thurmond's, immediately told The State newspaper that he didn't believe Williams. He deemed the revelation "unseemly." And he added that even if she was telling the truth, she should have kept the inconvenient facts to herself:

"It's a smear on the image that [Thurmond] has as a person of high integrity who has been so loyal to the people of South Carolina," Wilson said."

Of course, Williams' story was entirely true -- and never really in doubt. Thurmond was 22 and Williams' mother, a black maid working in his family home, was 16 when Williams was born in 1925. Thurmond supported Williams financially for decades."

This isn't about one guy, it's about a dwindling shrunken party that is hostage to their own lunatics and their own antics.

Is it working for democrats .. Wilson's opponent raised $750,000.00 in about 24 hours .. so yeah, it's working for them .. and . as if it need be said .. the drop in approval for Obama's weak ass healthcare plan had ZERO to do with this maniacal outburst or democratic response to it. You actually had to be told that.

What a hack you've become.

And again, I simply disagree that Wilson's remark will contribute to that. Even with your anecdotal stories. It isn't working, people aren't leaving the party because some dude shouted "You lie" at the President.

You keep talking about "one guy" .. I'm talking about the behavior of your entire shrunken party.

On what evidence do you claim people won't leave your shrunken party because of PARTY rude and obnoxious behavior .. when in fact, millions have left your sorry-ass party already .. especially moderate ones?

The Republican Party has shrunken into a regional right-wing white man's party .. so admitedly, there aren't many even left to leave .. but as I said yesterday, I know one who already has and I have no dounbt there are others.

In fact, if you lose a few more, the republican vote will be about as relevent as the black vote with about the same numbers. I imagine there are already more hispanics in this country than there are republicans.

Lincoln Chaffe was on Rachel Maddow yesterday, and he said its dudes and dudettes like Joe "You Lie" Wilson, Sarah Palin, and the rest of the wingnut extremists that drove him from the party. I'm pretty sure, Colin Powell has similar feelings although he hasn't confided to formally leaving the party.

You're right about this....it's a self fullfilling prophecy once you let the lunatics take over the asylum. The more extreme they'll get, the more ideological purity they demand from their remaining moderates, the more they will become a white, regional party of the south.
 
Lincoln Caffee doesn't speak for me and he can go to hell..

too bad he was voted in again, he is a traitor to go on that slimy show and run down his own party and the people in it...
