his last sentence on why the white house hadn't been briefed on the 'training exercise'

"I tend not to question law enforcement," Gibbs said, explaining the scheduling of the exercise was "a decision that was made by the Coast Guard."

I hate this shit. this is why people are automatons and blindly follow orders from thugs with badges.

TV enables a direct link into your mind so you can be controlled by the pundits, advertisers, fear mongers, evangelists, etc...

Without TV we would be lots more independent in our lives and thoughts.

Agreed. The corporate media have manufactured out of whole cloth the false notion that the people are upset over the prospect of the public option, when in fact the percentage in favor of the option has been climbing in every poll where the question is framed accurately as "medicare for all," as opposed to "government takeover of healthcare" (or some equally inflammatory reference), with results averaging 72% in favor.

The American public is fed up with the profiteering assholes in Big Pharma and Big Insurance, and want significant change. Nobody should have the right to say "your money or your life," whether at gunpoint or penpoint. Either way, it's theft, it's immoral, and the people know it, yet the corporate media (which in no way, shape, or form can be considered to have a liberal bias, except in the minds of the kool-ade drinkers) have painted a picture of intense debate over the option at the behest of the special interests involved in this fight, who, lacking any factual standing, are lying their asses off to stop reform.

Wrong. There is legitimate objection by a majority of americans of a public option. Not because they love insurance companies, but because they enivions and "out of the frying pan, into the fire" scenario.

Government is not a legitimate provider of competition.

Tort reform, and the ability to buy insurance across state lines would go much further to creating competition and controlling costs.

Nope, you just hate black people and natives and the programs which help them gain equality in this society that would discriminate against them. You don't experience it because you are white and you believe for some reason it is holding you and other white men back, which is ridiculous. You love around discrimination, you see why we have to regulate these types of things, as I stated, I look forward to the day when we no longer have to do this, but it isn't today. The stereotypes still exist, as shown by your viewpoints that black men are holding you down and destroying a whole generation of white men, now that is not only ridiculous, but an outright lie!

Racial discrimination is not a solution to racial dicrimination. Race revenge is not a sound basis for public policy.
