what does one have to do the other...I lived in Alaska for 17 yrs so I do know something about it, when have you been there??? and for seeing Russia from there, until you go there and find out different I'll take your criticism on it as total bullshit..

Also, why is the flag at half mast? I can understand it being at half mast on Sept 11, but they should have raised it to full mast on Saturday.

It's possible someone "forgot" to raise it to full staff, but I just checked the traffic web cam and its at full mast now.

Which shows us what?

1) that the pictures were not shot from the same location

2) That it appears to be the opposite sides of the capital

3) that the million man march was more heavily attended (it has the deeper shot and the street is more crowded)

From what I have seen I would say this protest topped out around 100k at most (the estimate of 75k is probably pretty accurate)

While it certainly isn't a million as suggested, it is substantially larger than any in the past (of its kind). The fact that it is growing lends to Damo's earlier point... this is growing, not diminishing. People are finally getting fed up with the idiots in DC.

I have flown around the top of McKinley in a twin engine plane... you most certainly can NOT see Russia from there. Just so you know, it has to be at least 4-500 miles to the west coast of AK from where McKinley is. Russia has to be another 75 miles or so from there. No way is anyone's eyesight that good.
