Here is a bit of advise given me by a published author that fits, IMO, in politics as well...
You have to leave a little something in there for the editors to fix or it will never get published.
Something like this is easily "fixed" and can serve as a distraction for more important parts of the bill that you don't want to change. If you can get people to focus on this easily changed portion to the detriment of other rather more ugly parts you can net a "win" on something you don't want to give up but would otherwise have to.
We have to be far more vigilant than finding one little thing then arguing it.
Death panels! Illegals! Rationing! Socialism!
Obama is a Socialist, I find that very funny when I hear people say it. Sure he is more toward socialism than Hitler, but he is more toward Capitolism than Mao.

But when it comes to freedom and choices, he's Mao's lost at birth twin.
False, name a freedom he has tried to limit?
He's trying to limit healthcare choices right now.
You have a shitty system in Massachusetts so why subject the rest of the country to it?in MA we lose our state exemption if we dont have insurance. If we qualify we can buy a public state option thats not much better then medicade. I think we should add that in to this bill.. A public option (BUT.... AND I SAY IT WITH CAPS ON PURPOSE) ONLY THE LOW INCOME SHOULD QUALIFY FOR THE PUBLIC MEDICARE OTHERWISE COMPANIES WILL USE IT AS AN EXCUSE TO SCREW US OUT OF MORE BENEFITS.
