I was? I think you have me confused with someone else.
The Senate has always been pretty much a toss up this year. The hope is that the GOP candidates are so ridiculous that even in a 'wave' election people can't vote for them. There are basically 4 states that matter. Dems holding onto AZ and GA and the GOP holding onto PA and WI.
Walker and Oz give the Dems a good chance in GA and PA. AZ is kind of an unknown at this point. And I am hoping the people of WI come to their senses and get rid of Johnson.
In AZ Mark Kelly is facing an uphill battle. The major issues are all ones he can't run on. He can't run on his voting record either. So, the commercials I see him running are broad, vague appeals to his intending to help Arizonans by being their senator. The Republican contenders (and the primary hasn't happened yet) all are hot on issues like the border and immigration (big here), inflation and the economy, gas prices, getting Leftists out of public schools, and the like.
For example, the two contenders for Superintendent of Education in Arizona are:
Kathy Hoffman (D) who is a union political hack and all about more money for teachers and education
Tom Horne (R) who has a track record of getting insane Leftist shit like Critical Pedagogy (see TUSD Raza Studies) out of public schools in AZ, restoring basics to classrooms, etc.
Given the public attitude at the moment, Hoffman is going to be steamrolled in November. So far, she isn't even bothering to run ads while Horne is.
In my particular district, there isn't even a Democrat running for Representative in November. The Republican is running unopposed. That person is Debbie Lesko, one of those Republicans the Left loves to hate on and yet they and the Democrats can't even find someone to run against her. (I just moved into her district in May because the house I bought was in Peoria).
