Michigan bill 5232 the 'Firearms freedom act'

The jist of the bill is that any firearms or ammunition made within the state of Michigan will NOT be subject to federal laws and regulations, on the basis of the 9th and 10th amendments.

Montana currently has a similar bill in the works. Will be interesting to see where this goes. More than likely it will pass in MI though.

EDIT: I'm a little slow it seems. Montana already passed thier bill and it will become effective on Oct 1st 2009.

EDIT:Tennesse and Alaska have also joined the fold.

The Republican's misapplication of the 10th amendment is pretty famous. Most recently, they tried to use it to say Obama addressing school children was unconstitutional.
