Trump supporters, fair question...

1) If Trump took classified documents to his basement in Mar-A-Lago is it not fair to investigate him?

2) If Trump lied about having more documents after having returned some of them, is it not fair to investigate that?

3) If the FBI had knowledge that Trump had documents belonging to the government, that he would not return, is it not fair to get a warrant and take them?

"libz suk." All you will get from them.

They are going to respond, no, first you have to prove that the documents he took were classified, and until you can prove such, you are picking him for political reasons. Any evidence that the documents were classified is worthless because it is tainted and only assembled by an FBI out to get Trump, plus approved by a Judge who hates Trump

as has been done with previous POTUS, they could just ask for them back. as you noted, they asked before and got the 15 boxes they wanted.

so why throw a flashy expensive circus (and go sniffing around Meliana's underwear drawer) ?

Trump did not give over all the documents. That is why the DOJ was negotiating with Trump's lawyers.

Ok, then please answer question #3. It appears the FBI did ask for the documents and Trump did not give them back. (BTW by all accounts it was not a flashy circus, if Trump had not issued a statement, nobody would have known)

If the FBI had knowledge that Trump had documents belonging to the government, that he would not return, is it not fair to get a warrant and take them?

1) yes

2) it is

3) it is.

Now a question for you, if the FBI has reason to believe trump has documents he shouldn't have why didn't they say that?

They did...he lied and said he never had them.

No, they asked for records and got 15 boxes, but there were still 12 more boxes of stuff there.

Few reasons:

1. If given advance warning, Trump would have destroyed the documents like he tried to do by flushing them down the toilet.

2. Trump's belligerence warrants an armed response.

3. So that Trump knows the FBI is not fucking around.

There is no need for the documents to be classified...although if they are, that makes the criminality worse.

Just keeping any documents...ANYTHING that was put to paper...is a crime. Every piece of paper belongs to the government...not to Trump.

We should have known that the FBI raided the personal home of an ex-president regardless of what Trump did it didn't do.

Now a question for you, if the FBI has reason to believe trump has documents he shouldn't have why didn't they say that?

They did say that.

Trump lied.

He lied about taking documents, then he lied about destroying some of them, then he lied about giving all of them back.

So he lied THREE TIMES to the FBI.

I'd bet my eye teeth they find exactly NOTHING criminal.

They are prohibited from commenting on ongoing investigations. You know that.

Trump has been a thief his entire life. Remember when he bragged about cheating vendors out of the money he owed them.

So then the charges should be forthcoming very shortly. I'm not impressed with any of it. When I see trump in cuffs then we'll have reason to discuss things further.

We should have known

Let me stop you right there.

You do not have the entitlement of the FBI running things by you before you permit them to do whatever they're gonna do.

YOU LACK ALL AUTHORITY THERE

The FBI doesn't have to explain itself to you, but even when they do, you ignore what they say because you're a piece of shit.

Why did Trump steal documents from the White House and lie about it?

Why did Trump destroy some of those documents and lie about it?

Why did Trump withhold 12 boxes of documents and lie about it?
