Irony is Dead - Fox News [sic]

TE=uscitizen;524564]Promote the invasion of Iraq.
Far more than any other "news" source.

the "far more" gives you away....you admit the other news agencies did this, but yet you somehow have proof fox did this more....i guess if i kill you more, i am more guilty of murder

i doubt you can actually prove your assertion.....

Promote hate and fear mongering on an unprecedented scale.
Well not since Mccarthy at least.

proof....and the liberal media has done this as well....

i see....so fox is pravda for all parties and at all times....so obama and his fellow dems on congress are the same as conservatives and that is why fox is still running.....

interesting theory
No, you mixed that up pretty badly!

The hatred spewed by the MSM and or supported by them against Bush needs no more proof than a google to the few million pages available on the matter.

FOX News critics NEVER watch it, making them the propagandist's not FOX

Concentrated conservatives in cans? A good idea.
That's how they make Whoop-Ass in a Can.

Anyone who can't tell that Fox is biased toward the right needs and enema to clear their head....or something needs to be cleared anyway. By the same token, anyone who can't tell that NBC is biased toward the left needs the same treatment. A like-thinking friend of mine and I discuss this over coffee frequently. We watch them both.....for entertainment. The real winner in all of this is CNN, who most of us watch when we want the news.

I agree with everything you said until you got to CNN being a place to get the news. They have failed to cover a number of recent breaking news stories that Fox was on top of from the gate. Thanks, but news just ain't news if it's last weeks cycle.

Ah well......I guess that there isn't a perfect "news" agency, is there. I want to add one more thing. I have been watching PBS and BBC quite a bit also the past year (since my good friend uscitizen recommended) and I can see a definite European, anti-American slant to the coverage....especially by BBC. That is to be expected I suppose. PBS news is ok but rather dry, IMO.

I watch all three, but usually for editorials, their news cycle is slower than molasses, we've usually discussed it here before it is reported there.

I watch the BBC and PBS on occasion as well and concur with you on both.

And we have the first invocation of Godwin's law in this thread.
You mean the first occurance of Godwin's law. Godwin's law may be a humerous aside but the comparison of Fox News as a propaganda organ and the system of propaganda developed for the Nazi's under Goebbells is a valid and factual comparison. Having said that, Godwin's law makes no argument about the validity of a comparison to the Nazi's. It just simply states that if a thread is long enough eventually such a comparison would be made.

Actually the only significant difference between the Nazi's propaganda system and the right wing propaganda system provided by Fox News (and it is a significant difference) is that the Nazi's displaced God (religion) with worship of the State (Der Faterland). This Fox has not done. Interestingly enough, Soviet Propaganda under Stalin did the same thing. It also replaced religion with a worship of "The State".

Maybe this is the thin ledge of the precipice between authoritarianism and totalitarianism?

Like what? What didn't CNN cover?
