A Thought on the Mandate for Health Insurance

This is not meant to be a deal breaker, but...

Is there any exception for religious beliefs? I have no sympathy for the idiots that deny their children, who are not able to fully understand their parents religion and it's ramifications, medical care.

But, if you are an adult, it seems wrong to force you to pay for medical insurance that you will not use due to your idiotic beliefs. There, at least, needs to be some exception for those religious idiots. :)

Technically it would be unconstitutional on those grounds as it would advocate certain religions over others. Not that the mandate is constitutional or that congress gives a shit.

Whether or not you belief something idiotic doesn't make a difference in whether or not it affects my health coverage by raising premiums when your kid winds up with kidney failure.

Okay, but if it is an adult that is not going to utilize medical care then how does it impact your premiums.
