FWIW, I think DeSantis is doing a decent job helping Florida recover. His hypocrisy about Federal money aside, he's doing his best to help Floridians.

That said, it was a goofy fashion choice.

But there also appears to be quite a bit of discussion about Ron's tall, impeccably clean, white boots.

While many people have famously worn white boots in the past, like shrimp boat captains, Lt. Dangle in "Reno 911," and of course, Nancy Sinatra, it was certainly surprising to see the Republican governor surveying hurricane damage in what appeared to be the Green M&M's boots.

The only shoes I own are sneakers and cross trainers.

I have sneakers, but also have boots; all black or brown. Never had any white boots of any kind.

Most pictures focus on DeSantis, but notice two things in the picture below; the identical outfits of DeSantis and the Mrs (or mistress, I can't see her face) and the fact they are they only ones wearing white rubber boots with only one other person wearing rubber boots out of a large crowd.

Nothing wrong with men's boots

Shiny white go-go boots are a non-starter.

I think I have a pair of steel toed work boots around here somewhere, I would wear those when I visited the drilling platform.

To be sure, knee-high boots over tight jeans was a weird choice of attire for a homophobic-talking man who has gone drag queen-hunting in Miami.

But, hey, at least DeSantis’ tacky Florida man fashion sense, while on a Monday visit to DeSoto County, brought a rare moment of comic relief to the devastation left along Hurricane Ian’s path.

‘Freedom’ over safety
Of course, when it became clear that the hurricane was headed to Florida, he advised people in low-lying areas to evacuate.

But then, he couched the advice with politics. He emphasized that Floridians had the “freedom” not to evacuate, echoing his culture wars and the “Keep Florida Free” campaign signs people have on their lawns.

He would not, he said, mandate anything in the “free” state of Florida.

God knows how many lives that may have cost.

The out of control inflation, borders, and crime are all results of far left Democrat Socialist policies.

Loss of energy independence happened on Biden’s watch.

The Trump “remain in Mexico” policy was canceled by Biden on the first day of his presidency.
Now, 3 million more illegals are here than when Biden took office.

Closing pipelines and making it difficult to drill have sent gas prices through the roof.

His insane spending is driving inflation through the roof.

Biden is driving America into the ground and he is harming hard working Americans.
