Why have we paid so much in taxes, if you want to surrender without a fight?

That is a serious question. Republicans are all saying that if Putin starts invading NATO, or even the USA, we need to surrender immediately. We can surrender immediately without spending a lot on the military. We have spent a huge chunk of our GDP on the military for 75 years. We could have saved all that money and just surrendered without a fight.

They want to return to the mid-1930s when America was isolationist. They aren't offering to surrender the US, just the rest of the world, to Russia and China. When Russia and China are on our beaches, that's when they'll decide to fight...but it will be too late.

Notice that none of them are very bright nor well-read on American history. They only go by what Tucker told them in the past week.
