Not to worry. Obama will bail us out!

I feel sorry for hard working californians... except the ones who vote for this type of management

Californians deserve the government they vote for.
And it didn't take a rocket scientist to know they'd come up short on revenues when they're driving people out of the state.

LOL

I am a Native Californian. I did not vote for Schwarzenegger. If Gavin Newsome gets the seat there's no hope left!

I hope he waits till their real estate is down another 40 percent.

I just read a poll the other day through Yahoo, if you can trust that, but California, specifically the SF Bay Area, will more than likely bounce back and bounce back healthy from the real estate collapse.

Never seen more 5 million and up places vacant and for sale. Commerical real estate is in the tank too.

I bet your right. I'm not brave enough to buy here but it is prob a great time to buy.

Only 1 billion? That's pretty good actually.

One problem is that America has no remedy for when the government can't pass a budget. In a parliamentary system, when you can't pass a budget, that's the end of it. New elections are called immediately. I guess we just cross our fingers and hope everyone can work it out.

you do know dems control the assembly and senate in CA....:pke:
Like I said, no body wants to make the hard decisions! they are damned if they do, damned if they don't! California is on fire in more than one way!

They use to be the nations thermometer! Do you think this is where we are all headed eventually?

QFT. California voters are the most idiotic bunch in the nation. They vote themselves into these big government programs, and the cry when they have to pay for them. Fuck that place. At least here in HI, you can see the mayors and governors, house and senators milling about at the farmers markets, and give them a piece of your mind.

They're still idiots though.

In many nations a party is not considered in control until it has power over the budget. Since the Democrats have to form a coalition to pass a budget due to the supermajority requirement, they do not control the assembly and senate in anything but name.

Pelosi lives on my street seven blocks down. I'll go see her what would you like me to pass on? Feinstein is a block down and about eight blocks over. Their homes combined are worth about a lovely $20 million. They are for the common folk I tell you.
