For real! It's appalling that Europeans insulted us with a Nobel, and we should denounce America for winning yet another Nobel prize.... after we cleaned up in Chemistry and Physics.

That's probably a function of the fact that you read NewsMax and World Nut Daily, and have never been overseas.
It's self-evident that europeans, broadly speaking, are in tune with Obama's internationalist approach to terrorism and climate change, in contrast to the rogue dummy cowboy Bush.
Another tangible example: I don't have to pretend I'm a Canadian, or wear my "I Vote for Gore" button overseas anymore.

Broadly speaking European's love it when liberal presidents espouse "America is bad".
He has increased the ability for ease dropping via the Patriot Act, increased troops in Afghanistan, increased drone bombings into Pakistan, strengthened rendition's. The troops that Bush scheduled for draw downs have been taking place as scheduled, but Obama sends more peace keeping troops to take their place. He has yet to close Gitmo...so what exactly has he done differently apart from his self depricating BS at the feet of European and ME leaders, running off to Denmark to campaign for the Olympics, doing Sunday morning show circuit and trying to ram more spending down our throats?

I do agree that it was a fuck you to W.... what is funny though is that it did more harm to the Nobel prize than it did to Bush. They essentially just stole any future value the award could have by awarding the Peace prize to someone based solely on a tantrum. (well a tantrum and the 'potential good' Obama will bring to the world... blah blah blah)
