While it is also their fault that they continued following into oblivion rather than acting like republicans and therefore have enough of a minority that they could not stop her appointment, it is clear that the most that they could do is simply point out her racism, exemplifying it in practice would be a turn backwards. Getting Rs to act like Rs, to exemplify the color-blind party, and return to thrifty and smaller government policies is getting more and more difficult with apologists like you around to help them give the other side fodder.
If one wants a specific party to win, and one of the reasons that one likes the party is specifically their blindness to race, it behooves one to work towards race-blind action as well as rhetoric.
