hmmm, i'm confused. you have no problem with Vick being reinstated after committing some serious crimes, yet someone makes remarks that people found offensive and 'divisive' years ago, and feel that he shouldn't be allowed to own part of an NFL team?

The big ass glaring difference my brother is that Vick has served his time AND he has been the biggest critic of his past behavior .. thus, he's no longer a threat to repeat his past actions.

Limpy was a racist then and he's a racist now .. ZERO sign of contrition or the slightest apology for his behavior .. even for his comments that offended the NFL.

You're fighting a losing battle. They are not going to allow this asswipe anywhere near an NFL team.

Playing for and owning a team are different things.

Rush has also committed crimes.

Good to finally see Rush denied something....

The NFL can say no to him even if noone from the Republican party can!

This was a publicity stunt fom the beginning and Limpy already knew that he wasn't going to get a team .. just wanted the attention.

I doubt that, because it looks like Rush lost, and he hates to have anyone belive he lost something.

I know the NFL is doing this publicity thing now where they are having teams sell small portions of teams to celebrities hoping that will boost attendance, but I dont think that was this is. Serina Williams is an owner of the Dolphins.

Serena and Venus are part owners .. and I have no problem with celebrities owning teams .. Usher is part owner of the Cavs .. and Jay Z is part owner of the Nets. I think it's a good melding and more down to earth than just the usual artistocrats who own professional sports teams.

Frankly, I hope you're right and Limpy actually thought he was going to get a team. Love the thought of him getting the door slammed in his fat face.

However, whether he really believed it or not, it is refreshing watching most of America giving him the finger. That alone was worth the price of admission.

:0)
