Here are the confirmed ones.

"Right. So you go into Darfur and you go into South Africa, you get rid of the white government there. You put sanctions on them. You stand behind Nelson Mandela — who was bankrolled by communists for a time, had the support of certain communist leaders. You go to Ethiopia. You do the same thing."

"Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"

"Take that bone out of your nose and call me back." [said while he was spinning records]

"I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They're interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. I think there's a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn't deserve."

The Riot rehearsal one was not one of the cited quotes. And the Jessie Jackson and the bone one was when he was hired to be an insult jock, and he apologized and spoke of how he felt bad even though it was his job. At least be true to what snopes is saying, it is bad enough without having to add to it.

It's a tiny bit like Ward Churchill making stuff up about small pox blankets. There's enough there, you don't need to elaborate or make up equivalents to small pox blankets. My guess is that it looked pretty slim once you took those ones out.

"The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies"

Wow, obvious as hell to me!

You're right, my mistake.

And your impugning my intent is unfair since I pointed out in the other thread that the Huberman backed quotes were not well sourced.

Damo, the Jesse Jackson was not during his disc jockey days. And I noted the other one was.
No, both of the Jesse and the Bone statement were included in the explanation that he was an insult jock at the time, he spoke about it.

They put them together then say, "Rush Limbaugh acknowledged making these statements..."

Then they go on to explain the circumstances.

True. I shouldn't have even inferred a possible intent.

However, I am correct that both the Jesse Jackson and the bone statement were made when his job was to be insulting, and he did apologize.

Damo would defend the KKK if the political alignment of today were thrown back into 60's (which would mean a Republican KKK).
Dumb. If I hadn't made most of the posts calling the parody song "Barack the Magic Negro" over the line you may have some sort of point, but now you just look like an idiot.

Rubbish. They didn't honestly mean "wipe the mongrels from the land" as in "wipe the black people from the land", you ignorant twat. They were talking about the CRIMINAL black people; that's what the lynchings are for, for god's sake. How can you confuse the two?

Didn't you say something about strawman and argument from ignorance to somebody else earlier?

No, it does not imply that at all. The "at least" is giving Rush some benefit of the doubt that it was said during his disck jockey days. As in...

At least, the latter was said during his disk jockey days.

The source is clearly the Newsweek article. If they felt a need to make that exception for the first they would have done so. Rush does not claim in the Newsweek article that the first was said during his disk jockey days. Instead his excuse for that one is that his intent was not racist.
