OTOH, most American taxpayers would not want to see their tax dollars paying for such traitors. With most Americans losing benefits due to Congressional tax cuts for the rich, they might see money being spent on traitors and racists who are vets to be worth cutting too.
Of course, you'd be entitled to your day in court to prove you aren't a White Nationalist traitor and enemy of the Constitution but you might consider saving money for a lawyer just in case. LOL
Again, this won't happen out of the blue. The militias are primarily vets. It would take a major terrorist attack, such as blowing up another daycare center or mass murder of Jews or African-Americans to give the impetus to pass a law denying benefits to all vets associated with anti-American ideals.

I do think DeSantis has some legal exposure in a couple of areas, but we've already seen that this Republican party doesn't care. The GOP has figured out they need to move on from Trump. Too many red flags. But Trump is like a stalker, and the GOP can't get a restraining order. We know how that often ends. This, IMHO, will be no different.
