White House criticism of Fox increasing ratings

Yeah, O'Reilly's interview with Obama was fair and balanced, yet Obama refuses to come back after being asked time and time again. Why is that?

He was elected? He no longer feels the need? He spits on those that rarely, if ever agree with him?

Or, it could just be that sitting Presidents rarely sit down for interviews during their terms in office.

Maybe it's that, Annie.

Right. Though this president has spent how much time with David Letterman? How much time with anyone who disagrees with him? How much time did Bush sit down with NYT? Non-cable networks? Cable networks, including CNN and MSNBC?

Who ran afraid?

I recall Bush sitting down with Russert, but it wasn't in his 1st year.

Are you really comparing him to Bush? Can you go back & look at Bush's 1st year and tell me how many interviews he conducted?

And Bush was terrified of the media for his last few years.

Face it - you're a hack. You are incapable of objectivity even if you try really hard...

Fox is not "fair & balanced." They're conservative hacks, in the same way that MSNBC & CNN are liberal hacks. Anyone who denies that is sad.

They get better ratings because all conservatives watch Fox. Liberals have a variety of networks to choose from...

Fox is watched by Conservatives, liberals and Independents all over the world.

What are you - in their PR department?

Libs & indies watch Fox, just as some conservatives watch MSNBC & CNN. But conservatives are the crew that give Fox the big ratings you guys always seem so giddy about, and the reason for that is that it's the ONE conservative network. It's home for them.

Libbies have a lot of options, because a lot of cable channels & networks slant more left...

You're such a douche. It's not anything close to the same. It's a difference in kind, not just degree.

I'd LOVE to see someone demonstrate this for CNN of MSNBC. Here's a CLEAR example of Fox taking a GOP talking point from the morning speeches from house GOP members and putting it in their NEWS cast (not opinion)

from the house:

And followed by Fox "News"

CNN and MSNBC don't do anything even close to this. There are a million examples just like this. Fox's bias is a difference in kind, not quantity or affiliation.

Oncy, you are a fucking douchebag.

Ummm, you are the f'ing douchebag, seriously the question in America today is "Where are the jobs?" Over a trillion has been spent in 'creating or saiving." Seems the 'saving' is not measurable and 'creating' is in the low thousands.' Seriously.

Why do you follow me around like that?

So totally creeped out. I need a better word than creepy to describe it...

you're really starting this shit again aren't you...what is the the 3rd or 4th time you've brought this up but tried to just stick to the debates with you....the last time this happened it became clear you were the one following me around and so you had to allegedly put me on ignore....i'm just trying to discuss things with you and you're bringing up shit from MONTHS ago....thats obsessive

you can't even debate me, all you can do is make stupid posts like this...how many posts have you made today that i have replied to?

i should have not expected you capable of actually answering my question rationally.....my bad

Wrong again...Hannity is a Reagan republican and has an hour segment where current topics are discussed. He often has 2 liberals to 1 conservative in his Great American Panel segment...he fucking interviewed Michael Moore just last week...you DO NOT get that kind of thing from libs on MSNBC...O'Reilly is a traditional conservative who has ALWAYS been fair to Obama. What you libs mistake for "far right" coverage is the fact that Fox asks tough questions, focuses on real news stories, and have not been sell outs and cheerleaders for this administration~~~ and Beck? He hammers politician’s period! He is conservative, so of course the more conservative policy and or candidates will reflect his positions best, but if they don't stand on conservative principles by caving, or if they are proven to be corrupt, he hammers them, he does not make excuses for them. It's obvious that you are not a viewer of Fox news, or like the majority of America, you'd know all this.

Whatever you say, Onesy.

Saying you've lost the argument is too tough and you can't own it, so obfuscate and try and twist it into something it isn't.

Typical unaccountable Liberal.

I watch Fox News. It slants right, in a big way. Beck is a right-wing nut. Hannity is a shill for the GOP - the ultimate political hack. Why do you think O'Reilly is "fair" to Obama? Because he says so? Do you want to see stats on how many stories and commentaries O'Reilly has done on the "dangerous left-wing" and their influence on Obama?

As for Fox News itself, there is no question whatsoever that it veers right. Some of the stuff that they put on the website is mind-boggling; showing a picture of Obama as Al Franken, with the headlline "Stuart Smalley Diplomacy?"...in the news section! During the campaign, they were basically McCain's campaign HQ. There is no dispute about Fox & their political leanings.

But when you & the rest deny that, and repeat the brain-dead mantra of "fair & balanced" like a bunch of brainwashed culties, you look just like the people who say that MSNBC is objective, or that Michael Moore's documentaries are straight-shooting.

You don't know you look that way, because you're hacks, and hacks can't look at themselves objectively. But that's the way it is...

Again, you obviously are not a viewer, I don't care how much you claim otherwise. No one I have read denies that Fox has a mostly conservative position. The fair and balanced statements are still valid. Unlike the state run media, Fox presents the stories, provides the sources, retracts mistakes, and always provide both sides if there is controversey. MSNBC, CBS, and ABC do not do this. CNN to some degree still makes attempts at it. The reason that Fox continues to kick rating ass is because veiwers have caught on to their fair and balanced presentation~~~

So how ya like Beck's hard-wired line direct to the WH to allow them to tell him when he has gotten it wrong? I just love it! Of course it hasn't rang yet.

Why do I think O'Reilly is "fair" to Obama? I think O'Reilly sometimes totes Obama's bath water for him.

You obviously don't watch if you think O'Reilly is some evil nemesis of Obama's.
