Anything resembling a violent revolution will be quickly and almost universally condemed as terrorism by all but a very small core group of radicall Conservatives.

nope, not satire......where have we seen violence before when the populace is upset with the actions of the government?........the hills of Kentucky or Watts......the Oregon mountains or Los Angeles.......Iowa farmlands or Detroit?......who's going to be not first, but next, to take up arms against the government?.....Lawrence, Kansas?......Winter Haven, Florida?.......or New Orleans.......

The revolution of Watts, Detroit, and elsewhere have nothing whatsoever to do with what teabaggers are talking about .. and teabaggers dare not go their way with that bullshit.

There is ZERO sentiment in the cities to take up arms against the government.

Who told you that?

I suppose it would be how one is defined as a terrorist, vs a patriot.

I in no way shape or form endorse the OC bombing and I'm sorry it appeared that way. I was only offering that it was an event that has it's history in that of Waco and was supposed to start the 'revolution' on a national scale. Obviously (and thankfully) it didn't happen. But it still shows that those events seem to be setting us on a path, which once started is difficult to stop. I, and anyone else with the capability to reason, hope that such a revolution would be peaceful. But I, and many like me, are prepared for a less favorable alternative.

The fault is mine my brother because I know you did not imply endorsing the bombing .. and I should have said that .. but I have just as much emotion about that picture as I did the first day I saw it .. and I simply forgot to say it.

....the issue of who's going to take up arms against the government has nothing at all to do with teabaggers, who told you it did?.......

No harm done. I have thicker skin than most, despite some instances here that may seem otherwise.

The god of brains told me.

Who do you think is talking about armed revolution?

People in Detroit or Watts?

ONLY the teabagger types speak of such nonsense.

Everyone here seems to enjoy the use of Detroit for this little analogy. I'd like to point out that the attitude and culture of Detroit is VASTLY different from any other place in the nation, and thus is not likely to be a fair representation to those who argue that large urban areas would not revolt. Many of the people of Detroit would engage in such activities, especially those from the surrounding areas.

YOU and I have a RESPONSIBILITY and DUTY my brother to stand against all enemies of this nation be they within or without.

YOU and I have a responsibility and duty to protect children like Baylee Almon from the monsters.

In your preparation for what may come .. think of this picture.

Think of this child.

In your converstion on this issue .. think of this child.

Again, I hope and pray and work towards peaceful change, as I would hope everyone else does as well. I simply am prepared for other options, reprehensible as they may be. That being said, I still believe the government the greatest POTENTIAL enemy to our freedom and happiness.

Brother .. I'm from Detroit.

There is no such sentiment in Detroit for this .. and in fact, there is large scale resentment against it. It is seen in Detroit as just another manifestation of racism. Black president .. let's destroy the country.

Additionally, Detroit's surrounding areas are now occupied by non-whites .. and to a large degree, ARABS. It is the largest arab population in the country.

The culture and attitude in Detroit is quite reflective of the attitude in many urban areas .. in fact, Detroit has always been a bellweather for urban sentiment and culture.

It's one of the reasons I take a pass on gun control .. because although I'm against the proliferation of guns .. if the morons come my way .. I want tio kill them many many times. A gun is easy to get.

I'm prepared to kill them if I have to.

You're in Detroit? Small world. Since you know the area it would be more accurate to sau I'm from Harper woods, not Detroit per say. Perhaps it's merely the people that you and I deal with that are different.

I used to play ball in Harper Woods all the time .. but currently I'm in Atlanta.

I agree that the sentiment in Harper Woods is somewhat different than that in Detroit .. but Harper Woods does not strike me as any bastion of right-wing thought .. come to think of it, my son Anthony lives in Harper Woods near Moross and I-94.

Lucky you, I wouldn't recommend staying in Michigan unless you like good beer and high unemployment. I actually don't associate myself much in Harper woods, most of the people I know are either the rich Grosse Pointers, AMVETS in St. Clair Shores or tradesmen from all of the tri county area. And the customers I deal with but they're almost universally rich (I weld and machine parts for marine engines).

I left Detroit long ago my brother. I lived on the west coast for many years and finally settled on Atlanta. Going home is painful. I remember a great and dynamic Detroit. There is nowhere else I would have wanted to grow up other than Detroit. The memories are precious. What I see there today is tragic.

Even Grosse Pointe isn't what it used to be.

Perhaps we may get to share a beer someday after all. :0)

You talkin' about the Lions? ;)

Sorry BAC, couldn't resist.

I know. My dad talks about how it used to be all the time.

Have you ever been to the Dragonmead Brew pub on 11 mile?

Never been to Dragonmead .. but I'll let you buy me a pub there when I'm next in Detroit. :0)

WARNING: If I drink a pub of beer you will have to deliver my corpse to the authorities.

Most women can outdrink me .. as well as more than a few teenagers.
