Is America a Christian nation?

Is America a Christian nation?

It sure is dumb enough to think so.

Pointing tin the wrong direction. Biden and Pelosi are practicing Catholics who actually attend church. It was Trump who lied about religion. He was never seen in the church he claimed to be a member of. Trump was the first atheist president in a long time.

Practicing Catholics do not believe in abortion.

Secularist, not atheist. Atheists have a religious belief there is no god. Secularists don't give a shit about religion, like Trump--probably because he sees no personal profit in it...

He is ?

Thou shalt not kill

Thou shalt not steal

That's at least two of the Commandments down the Swanee

Haw, haw....................................haw.

Being a sinner prevents one from being Christian? Is that a tenant of Christianity?

Sure. Being unChristian is not being Christian , is it. Of course, anybody can call themselves Christian, murder and steal - and then present themselves as ' Christian sinners ' What a farce, eh.

Ol' Klepto Joe is going to need more than a few ' Hail Marys ' to save HIS miserable soul from the scorn of history.

Do you think that there's a ' scale of Christianity ', ranging from Christ-denying asshole all the way up to saint ?

I guess different people define “Christian”. My understanding of what Christianity calls Christian is a person who pursues a relationship with Christ.

Others call one a Christian if one is a member of a church.

Some are pro-choice.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: "Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law".

Scripture says a person cannot do one without the other. (Acts 2:47)
