2017: $665B deficit
2018: $779B deficit
2019: $983B deficit.

So before COVID, Trump had grown the deficit by 50%.

Second you know most of the uber rich have businesses and other interests in the US, that they cannot just pack up and leave with easily right?

What you are saying, is to avoid a more fair tax, these uber rich would simply stop doing anything in the US or with the US, to avoid the tax. that is kind of like you saying "I don't want to pay income tax, so i refuse to do a job and get paid'. They don't care if they are shut out. They will simply build manufacturing in some other country that isn't so abusive. They won't sell any product in the States that doesn't make them a profit. If the government takes all that profit, the product simply won't be for sale in the States.
