Florida book bans - the first step before burning

That depends on what you think is appropriate for classroom use and instruction...

I think they are perfectly appropriate for classroom use and instruction. Such a decision should not be made by a governor, but a local elected school board.

That depends on what books we're talking about... you'll have to give me an example of what you think is appropriate... I absolutely understand why Governors are stepping in to help make critical decisions when it comes to our schools...

Special education is individualized ...that's what's so wonderful about it...;) I guess that self-contained classrooms aren't something that many are familiar with... that's understandable... Schools set up special education programs to meet the needs of their students....

Those are all on the list.

It should be a local decision.
These days some local systems aren't doing very well so they need a little help... things are slowly but surely getting back to normal... I see changes daily and it's very encouraging... parents are really getting involved... much more so than in the past and that's making a huge difference...

Look into special education programs offered in schools these days... you might be surprised and amazed at how wonderful they are... there are no harder working teachers let me tell you....

Reminds me of the same old WHITE EVANGELICALISTIC mentality that started the Beatles Ban and the tons of Beatles records that ended up in protest bonfires that swept across the Church Parking lots of the mid-west and Bible Belt of the south, after John Lennon said in a small-town local news reel, "Right now the Beatles are more popular than Jesus"!

I know what John was talking about because I saw it with my own eyes. I saw the Beatles in Concert along with my two sisters, and my feet was literally sitting in a pool of urine that was streaming down the floor, from the over-excited teenage girls during the concert. And all I could hear was their screaming and crying! I'll never forget it.

I mean, John Lennon was actually just mocking his fans for being so overly crazed and pawing after them like idols. I mean, they weren't ready for all the screaming and going so bananas over them during their concerts, the fans couldn't even hear the music, and the Beatles couldn't even hear themselves play, and the fans were so much more into the Beatles image than their beautiful music and lyrics, which was what the Beatles wanted the most appreciation for themselves and what they wanted to be best known for.

They wrapped up their American tour, and never came back again. Never even toured again- and returned to the studio until they split!

I'm almost humiliated to admit that I have former relatives in The Villages who actually voted for Rhonda Santis.
We actually went into the basement storage room and dug out big plastic totes full of old, forgotten family photographs
and purged them so as to have no remaining record of them. Sorry, Dad, but Niblick history needed to be cleaned up,
just like Rhonda Santis would have done it.

No joke. I take this stuff seriously.

So family means nothing to you. Gotit.

It is a felony under DeSantis' new law. Felony basically means one year or more in prison, this particular crime has a max of two years. It is for having any books who have not been approved in the last year in the classroom, so missing the renewal deadline means a year or two in prison.

It is easy to miss the yearly renewal. Think about it. You get it approved on Monday, September 1st one year, and Monday, September 2nd the next year, and you have just committed a FELONY!!!

That's right.
