while good in theory....it would do more harm than good. we have the right to vote and the right not to vote. our vote is our voice, forcing it would be a grave violation of that fundemantal principle....

Honestly, why should they show up? For the past 25 years politicians have, by and large, offered nothing of substance or difference. You honestly cannot tell me there is a significant difference between 95% of people elected at the national level. Not to mention that so many have been nothing but politicians their whole lives, how could they possible understand what it's like to be Joe Sixpack?
