This is fucking classic. First of all, under present law there is no waiting period at all. Which is pretty sweet, except there is no high risk pool so you're just plain fucked. For good. And I'd note that in the House bill that the Democrats put together there is no waiting period whatsoever.
Second, the high risk pool is a temporary measure until the complete ban on insurers denying coverage based on a pre-existing conditions goes into effect. The Republicans on the other hand have no ban on denying people insurance based on pre-existing conditions and instead want a permanent high risk pool.
This , you idiotWhat shit?
This , you idiot
And I'd note that in the House bill that the Democrats put together there is no waiting period whatsoever.
But the House health care bill unveiled last week by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., doesn't include a waiting period. Instead, it would require insurance plans who "dump" seriously ill patients to repay the federal pool. "The House provision will provide immediate relief for people with high-risk conditions who have no alternative for coverage," said Finan.
Prove it. let's see where you pulled that shit from

That would be from your article...

Duhhh. Is it not clear that I do not believe Nancy when she says that?
Um... the bill does not have it. Period. Just admit you are embarrassed that he used your own article against you.
What I would like to know is why are they waiting until 2013 to implement the rule that insurance companies cannot deny coverage? hmm... why could that be? anything to do with 2012 perhaps?
You think that they Democrats gain something by putting it off until after 2012? What would they gain?
The one thing that (I thought) pretty much everyone agreed with is that denying coverage based on pre-existing conditions was basically fucked up and should be stopped. It seems to me that the sooner they implement the ban the better off they would be.
