I never said it was intentional. I said the burn off was. The derailment was a mechanical failure of one of the cars, and I seriously doubt that any sort of braking would have prevented it.

No one was likely able to know this unless a hot box detector went off....which is why we need to know when the train was last examined, who knew what when, and what did they do/not do about it.

The derailment was an accident, the government set the fire as a means to dispose of nasty chemicals. The point that needs clarity is whether there was a viable alternative to that action or not.

Good question. Please share your congressperson's response with us. Considering it took them 3 days to set the fire, that better have been the best option.

Of course they SAY that, you moron. But the tanks of chemicals sat there for 3 days after the derailment before they did the so called "controlled burn". 3 days!!! That tells me there was no emergency. THINK
